Meet  the  Lord  in  the  Air

aka  "The  Rapture"

Song of Solomon 2:10

My beloved spake, and said unto me,

Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.

Rapture is defined as:

  1.  ecstatic joy or delight; joyful ecstasy,
  2.  an utterance or expression of ecstatic delight,
  3.  the carrying of a person to another place or sphere of existence.

Well, they got all of that right!  They just don’t know how right they are.

In  My  Own  Words

Let me just tell you in advance of relevant scripture listings that one cloudy spring day in the near future, unexpectedly, the saved will hear the Lord shout “Come up hither” from the clouds.

You will immediately be transformed into an incorruptible, immortal flying body of flesh and bones.  You will rise and be caught up with Him and all other saved people in the air.  Even your saved dead great, great grandmother’s body from the grave will be transformed and joined with her soul, which returned from heaven with Jesus, to meet you in the air too.

Your clothes and your accessories (sorry ladies) and your blood (which is no good) will remain at your last known position.

You will then make a short-in-time, long-in-distance, trip to heaven #3 where God lives (probably a trip in the fifth dimension).  Your flesh and bones are outa here!

Luke 24:39

Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself:

handle me, and see;

for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

The unsaved will only know that you are gone and that your clothes, blood, money, house, furniture, jewelry, shoes, car and golf clubs are still here.

You know that little sound your cell phone makes when you send a text message?  That’s slow compared to the speed of this entire transformation.

Unsaved airline pilots will be missing a few saved passengers.  Unsaved airline passengers will be missing their saved pilots and someone is going to have to sit in their bloody seat to attempt a landing (maybe with or maybe without an air traffic controller).

Unsaved hospital staff will be missing all the babies, all the children, and all the saved patients.  There will be no children on the entire earth.

Unsaved teachers will see their entire class vanish.

Unsaved husbands will be missing their saved wives.

Unsaved life insurance executives will be going crazy as their actuarial formulas have been violated.

Unsaved men in powerful positions, which are almost all of them, will be left here agonizingly analyzing how this event will affect the demographics of their re-election plans.

It will be the leading headline on all news outlets around a world in emotional chaos for awhile.

Then an Assyrian will step in and calm things down.

In  My  Own  God's  Words

OK, here’s the scriptures that directly describe the actual rapture event:

Acts 1:11

..... Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven?

his same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven,

shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

And  As  Promised:

I Thessalonians 4: 13-18

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.  (The souls of the saved dead currently in heaven will return with Jesus.)

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  (The bodies of the saved dead will be transformed and rise first to be reunited with their soul.)

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:  (The saved living will then be transformed and caught up.)  and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  (Hebrews 13:5, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”)

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”  (This is our promise that we will not go through the tribulation period.)

I Corinthians 15:51-54

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery;  (A  mystery is not to be understood; it is to be believed.)  We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.”  (In the twinkling of any eye is faster than a text message.)

And there you have it, a very sound promise of snatching victory from the jaws of defeat.  But this initial victory is just the stepping stone from one state of life to another.

All the work and decisions will be past and you will be stepping to a future determined by your past.  So get to work before it’s too late!
