Medical  Proofs  &  Evidences

Proverbs 16:24

Pleasant words are as an honeycomb,

sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.

OK, prophecy probabilities aside, what about medical truths?  Here are two simple examples – circumcision on the eighth day and washing your hands in running water.  Both of these medical laws were given early in the life of Israel, but neither was confirmed by natural man until recently.

Eight  Days

Genesis 17:12

And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you ……

Why eight days?  The eighth day of a male’s life is the only day in which the amount of prothrombin and Vitamin K, both of which control hemorrhaging, are at relatively peak levels.  Circumcision prior to the eighth day or after the eighth day has an element of risk that does not exist on the eighth day.  Man figured this out in the 1900’s, thousands of years after God established the eighth-day law.

Wash  Your  Hands!

Leviticus 15:13

And when he that hath an issue is cleansed of his issue; then he shall number to himself seven days for his cleansing, and wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in running water, and shall be clean.

Running water is cleansing, according to this passage written over 3,000 years ago.  In the 18th and 19th centuries, many women giving birth in hospitals were dying of infection.  Since natural man did not know that infections could be carried from the skin of one person to another, doctors in that day did not wash their hands between deliveries.  They dipped their hands in basins of water already used by other doctors and the infections spread.  If the Biblical method of cleansing with running water had been known and used 3,000 years after the published fact, these mothers would not have died.
